Good news for Tibet travelers !!
Rauswagadhi-Kerung border along Nepal and Tibet (China) has been opened to the foreign tourists effective from August 28, 2017.
This opening of border allows tourists for travel to Tibet by overland from Nepal. Tourists can now visit Tibet for the purposes of tours, treks and expedition.
This is a good and optimistic news for both travelers and Nepalese tour operators as many international tourists visit Tibet (China) every year via Nepal.
The border had been closed for quite some time following the devastating earthquake a few years back. Rasuwagadhi-Kerung Border is located about 160 km from Kathmandu and is only 6 hours drive.
